Family-School Compacts
What is a Family-School Compact?
As part of our Title I plan, Tiger Creek Elementary School jointly develops, through meaningful consultation with parents, a school-family compact that outlines how families and our school will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement and the means by which the school and parents will build and develop a partnership to help children achieve the state’s high standards. The school-wide compact stresses the importance of communication between families and teachers. TCE families are given the opportunity to provide compact input through meaningful consultation with school staff throughout the school year. Parents have the opportunity to review and adjust the compact at Parent Advisory Council meetings. Family-School Compacts should be used at home and at school in parent-teacher conferences.
